We have been discussing the possibility of hiring temporary trades staff to support the summer minor cap project window. I'm not sure this has been discussed previously, but would be interested in whether other campuses have done this and the benefits/challenges associated with this process. Scott L. Loosley

FYI – CI has been bringing In Temp FWIIs and select trades people for Summer Repairs and to assist in minor cap projects for six consecutive years now with great success.

Please feel free to contact Mr. Guy Spevak, Assistant Director and PM for Operations whom I have copied in this email. He can answer any questions related to the process along with the PROs and CONs. Wesley J. Cooper

I appreciate your request regarding temp-employee generals. East Bay has used temp numerous times but recently the last few months, SETC has continually challenged the process steps more especially around which type classification we seek. I would like to see that we are staying consistent across the state in this process. Robert Andrews
